Program Information

We believe that excellence and efficiency are compatible. This page details the Programs we offer.

Physical Therapy - Our staff include a Physical Therapist, two Physical Therapy Assistants, and a Therapy Aide. These staff are dedicated to achieving and maintaining optimum gross-motor abilities of our residents.

Nutritional Consulting - In addition to a full-service kitchen and staff who prepare balanced, nutritional meals, we have a Dietician who develops individualized meal plans for each resident.

Speech Therapy - We employ a Speech/Language Pathologist who works with our residents on communication skills, feeding issues, and auditory issues. We also have a consultant Audiologist who assists with hearing screenings and fittings for earmolds and hearing aids.

Occupational Therapy - We have two Occupational Therapists and a Resident Skills Facilitator on staff. These staff work with our residents on skills such as dressing, grooming, eating, and in the program settings as well.

Behavior Management - We have a Behavior Specialist and four Behavior Technicians on staff. These staff assist in all areas of the facility, providing support during times of crisis and also acting as resources for our staff in dealing with challenging maladaptive behavioral issues.

Psychological Services - Our staff Psychologist develops psychological profiles and diagnostic impressions of each resident. The Psychologist also develops all Behavior Management Programs and provides consulting as needed for residents, families, and staff.

Recreation/Leisure - We employ a Recreation Therapist who designs the residents' programs around achieving optimal physical fitness while also having fun. The RT and assistant provide many opportunities for our residents to participate in active recreation and leisurely activities as well.

Living Skills Class - Our Adult Living Skills Manager structures the class around developing and maintaining skills such as using a calculator, working with money, developing meal plans, and general shopping skills. The residents in this class experience real-world opportunities to use their skills.

Work Activity Centers - We have two Work Activity Centers, each with its own Manager. In these areas, the residents have opportunities to earn a paycheck while assisting in piece-rate types of work. Our customers include John Conti Coffee, Blue Moon Artworks, and Keller Dental Laboratory.

Arts & Crafts Class - The Arts & Crafts class is devoted to giving our residents opportunities to express their personal talents in a wide variety of mediums. The therapeutic approach that we use encourages flexibility in allowing the residents to choose what they would like to work on each day.

Outpatient Rehabilitation - We have a licensed Outpatient Rehabilitation Agency that serves individuals with intellectual disabilities who live in the community. We offer PT, OT, Speech, Psychological services, and Behavior Management through this program.

Chapel Services - We are affiliated with the Lutheran Church and have an ordained Lutheran pastor on staff. There are all-inclusive chapel services every Sunday, as well as Catholic communion services every Tuesday.
